A Special Place in Hell is a weekly podcast by Meghan Daum and Sarah Haider. Each week, they tackle major cultural issues like gender politics, culture war issues, religion, and higher education — they do not shy away from controversy. They’ve entertained guests like comedian Adam Carolla, life coach Penelope Trunk writer Rebecca Traister.

On this project, they wanted to rebrand their visual identity, increase paid subscriptions, and develop processes to help get episodes out in a timely manner.

I oversaw the rebrand, edited podcast episodes, produced social media content, and helped position the product.

Some notable stats:

• In the first five months, we increased subscribers by 1000.

• Substack subscription revenue increased by over $20,000.

• Reached 158,000 Substack page views.

• Reached 211,000 podcast downloads.
